If one considers the results of Vijay Deverakonda’s most recent flicks, one could wonder about his current state of existence. Mrunal Thakur, on the other hand, has already achieved success on two separate occasions and is now attempting to achieve a hat trick with the film ‘The Family Star‘ directed by Parasuram Petla. Is the movie successful, considering that it is modeled after the smash blockbuster “Geetha Govindam”? Well, let’s find out!

Review of “The Family Star”:

The character of Govardhan, played by Vijay Deverakonda, is an architect who is also a responsible family man who generates income for his family. Due to the fact that he is responsible for managing the financial elements of his family, he is a miser. Dosas for children are not to have an excessive amount of batter, as he urges his sisters-in-law to note. Moreover, in order to conserve the batter, a ‘CG’ paper-thin dosa is prepared. Over the course of their time together, he falls in love with Indu, played by Mrunal Thakur, who rents out his penthouse.

Despite the fact that Indu is initially presented as a college student, she is much more than that. As soon as Govardhan, played by Vijay Deverakonda, learns the truth about Indu, he has a sense of betrayal. Who is Indu, and what led Govardhan to feel that he has been betrayed? What happens to their relationship? ‘The Family Star’ provides the answers to these questions.

The romantic drama ‘The Family Star’ directed by Parasuram Petla is a model of the genre, and it focuses on the challenges faced by a guy from the middle class. This demonstrates how difficult it is for Govardhan to manage a large family, despite the fact that he has two brothers. In spite of the fact that this makes for an intriguing storyline that is packed with drama, Parasuram continues to tread the same path that he has always traveled, as was the case with “Geetha Govindam.” In “The Family Star,” there is a series of sequences that are completely irrational. At some point, as a viewer, you will make the decision to disregard logic as an irrelevant concept.

You will discover even more reason to be disinterested in ‘The Family Star’ as you begin to focus on the messaging of the show. There are regressive thoughts scattered throughout the entirety of the movie. There are various sequences that can be identified as coming from a specific school of thinking. These sequences range from the male protagonist curses the woman to marry a disabled spouse to a scene that involves hookers in the United States.

The conflict in ‘The Family Star’ is what makes the show uninteresting since it is so ludicrous and silly that it borders on being comical. While the interval twist did a good job of keeping things intriguing for a while, it eventually became unsustainable due to the erratic pace of the story. Both the action sequences and the song placements contribute to a significant slowdown in the pace of the film.

The portrayal of Govardhan in ‘The Family Star’ by Vijay Deverakonda has been very impressive. On the other hand, it is high time that he improves his decision-making skills when it comes to selecting written material. A substantial character is played by Mrunal Thakur, who makes an effort to make us feel sorry for her. On the other hand, not being able to accomplish that is not possible because the story has almost little emotional connection.

An entertaining portion of ‘The Family Star’ can be attributed to the friendship that Vijay Deverakonda shares with his grandmother, as well as a few particularly humorous scenes. The picture, however, could have been elevated to a higher level if its pacing and conflict had been adjusted.
